PURPOSE: To efficiently dynamically link a program module to many rearrangeable symbols by forming the cache of a second level for caching partially linked rearrangeable library programs and supplying completely or partially linked modules. ;CONSTITUTION: A linker object checks an image cache 22 and investigates whether or not the image cache is provided with the program of a complete link version and whether or not a cached version is linked by using the library program in a designated context object. When matching is not found, the linker object searches the list of library program names requested by an image memory object and used by the designated context object in a step 26. In the case that matching is not found, an address to map the library program is decided, a memory object is prepared and mapping is performed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
