PURPOSE:To efficiently purify water in lakes, marshes, ponds, etc., contg. vegetable plankton. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of a cell deactivating tank 1 provided with an ultrasonic vibrator, etc., for exerting microvibration and cavitation on a water W to be treated collected from lakes, marshes, ponds, etc., 3 and contg. vegetable plankton and a catalystic oxidation tank 4 for allowing the animal plankton to predate the vegetable plankton in the cell-deactivated water. A contact material 8 is provided in the tank 4, an aeration means consisting of a diffuser pipe 9 is furnished at the tank bottom, hence the deactivation and colonization of the vegetable plankton cells are eliminated, the predation and oxidation are improved, and the water is efficiently purified.
