摘要

PURPOSE: To ensure restraining in increase in the reaction at the time of neutrons lost at any part of reactor core by softening neutron spectra for decreasing void coefficient and increasing dappler coefficient. CONSTITUTION: By use of moderating material such as B11 4C in a high speed neutron nuclear reactor, neutron spectra is softenened and thus void coefficient is reduced and doppler coefficient is increased. Accordingly increase in the reaction generating at the time of coolant lost is moderated at any part of core of the reactor. This moderating material may be uniformly mixed with a nuclear material and the like, and can be contained as a nun-uniform material in a specified fuel pin 14 of fuel pins 12 containing the nuclear material and the like.
