PURPOSE: To make a prototype of a flat plate mold by obtaining a mold from a natural raw material with a significant curve in a non-fixed shape. ;CONSTITUTION: A first temporary mold 4 which is elastically deformable is formed by obtaining a mold using an area between a tree (natural raw material) and a support plate 1, then the first temporary mold 4 is allowed to deform elastically, and its molding surface 4a is sucked on a flat retention plane 5a to make it almost flat. In this state, a support 7 consisting of a rigid material such as plaster is formed on the rear of the first temporary mold 4 and these are combined together using a pin 2. Next, the molding surface 4a of the first temporary mold 4 is fixed almost flat by holding force of the pin 2 in the first temporary mold 4 and the rigidity of the support 7. After that, a molding is obtained from the molding surface 4a to form flat plate-type prototype 8 having an almost flat molding surface 8 with the same pattern as the tree (a).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
