PURPOSE:To prevent clogging of a soil seeping treatment and to prolong the service life of a device by measuring the oxidation reduction potential in the soil near the boundary part with a diffusion layer and executing an aeration treatment to supply oxygen when the measured value falls down to a reference value or below. CONSTITUTION:This soil seeping treatment device is laminated with a gravel layer 2, a lower soil layer 3, a filter medium layer 4, a seeping part 5 and an upper soil layer 6 successively from the bottom of a trench channel 1. In the meantime, the seeping part 5 is formed of water diffusing pipes 5b supported in the ground-soil part 3d of the lower soil layer 3 and a seeping mat (diffusion layer) 5m covering the upper part thereof to a semicircular shape. In such a case, the oxidation reduction potential in the soil near the boundary part between the part where the concn. of the sewage is highest, i.e., the seeping mat 5m and the upper soil layer 6 is measured by an Eh meter K, etc., and is monitored. The aeration treatment for supplying oxygen is executed when the measured value attains the reference value or below. For example, air is forcibly sent from a blower B via an extension part 9z to the ventilation pipes 9 of the seeping mat 5m.
