PURPOSE: To protect and grow up a groove band or the like by arranging the material, which is obtained by forming windows in a base board with a predetermined space and fitting a tongue piece to each window so as to be opened, at positions, where erosion control, beach preservation or wave dissipation is necessary. ;CONSTITUTION: Plural windows 3 are formed in a board 2, which is stretched over a frame 1, with a predetermined space. A tongue piece 4 is hung down in each window 3 freely to be opened and closed to form a material for erosion control, beach preservation and wave dissipation. In the case where the material is used for protecting and growing up a grove band, the materials are arranged in front of the grove band so as to direct the beach. When the wind is blown from the beach side, the tongue 4 is separated from the window 3 by an angle corresponding to the strength of the wind, and the sand carried by the wind is heaped in the back side of the material to prevent the direct blowing of a large quantity of wind against the grove band.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
