PURPOSE: To provide a capital joint structure of a wooden framework construction from ancient times in Japan, which is effectively improved for the enhancement of the connecting strength, particularly, of upper and lower wooden columns divided by a horizontal member. ;CONSTITUTION: A horizontal member 3 is connected with a receiving member 2 integrated into the stepped part 11 of the capital of a wooden column 1 as a support part, and the capital upper end is connected to the bottom surface of an auxiliary horizontal member 4, and a wooden column 1' for roof truss or upper floor is stood on the upper surface of the auxiliary horizontal member 4. A furring strip 6 integrated to the root of the wooden column 1' for upper floor and the receiving member 2 are fastened together by a strip metallic material 7 and a fastening metal fitting 8 to connect the upper and lower wooden columns 1, 1'.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
