PURPOSE:To prevent Canker of apple by impregnating a highly water-absorbing resin layer of a sheet, in which a waterproofing layer and water-absorbing resin layer opposite thereto are formed, with the title control agent consisting of a solution containing Bacteria K-1 and then winding the sheet around an apple tree. CONSTITUTION:A control agent for Canker of apple consisting of a solution containing Bacillus subtilis K-1 (Bacteria K-1) at a ratio of 104 to 109/ml is impregnated with a highly water-absorbing resin layer 4 of a sheet 1 composed of a nonwoven fabric 2 of polyester, etc., waterproofing layer 3 consisting of a polyethylene film and highly water-absorbing resin layer 4 and the resin layer 4 of the sheet 1 is closely applied to an apple tree to carry out prevention of infection of Canker and control of pathogenic bacteria. It is unnecessary to frequently carry out exchange of the sheet, because effluence and diluent by rainwater and reduction of the solution by drying are suppressed.
