Removable sole covering studs or crampons on shoe sole - has strong supple base to which supple fibres are fixed, with sole held on shoe by supple and elastic straps
The removable sole (1) has a base (6) which is made of strong supple material, to permit the foot to flex during walking. Supple fibres (2) are fixed into, or bonded to, the upper surface of the base. These are long enough to absorb the length and thickness of the studs. The sole is held on the shoe by supple straps closed by strips of hooked pile fasteners and elastic straps. It can be held by magnets or by hooked pile fasteners on the shoe and on the sole. USE/ADVANTAGE - Removable sole to prevent damage to surfaces by shoe with studs or crampons.
