Independent suspension system for wheeled or tracked motor vehicles - has individual wheel hub carriers mounted on swinging links carried by parallelogram linkages controlled by compression springs
The system includes chassis (8) having support(7) on which is pivotally mounted the lower end (6b) of a balancer (6) .The top end (6a) of this balancer is aligned by thrust bearings to central axis of the wheel.Each support (7) is mounted fixedly to the chassis laterally to the side of the corresponding wheel (1) and the lower pivoting axis (I) is radially exterior to the rim (3) of the wheel (1). The balancer includes two parallel arms whose movement correspond to the deformation of a parallelogram. ADVANTAGE - The system allows fore-and-aft movement of individual wheels, reducing the shocks caused by rough going.
