This method according to the invention, using fluorescent structures, hereinbelow termed balls, which can bind to an appropriate antiligand, is characterised in that the said balls, which have a diameter and/or a fluorochrome density and/or an emission wavelength which are identical or different, and to which at least one appropriate antiligand is bound, are placed in contact with the sample to be analysed, so as to obtain complexes formed by a number of fluorescent balls fixed onto each particle to be detected, then in that, secondly, the particles to be detected thus marked are individually counted using an appropriate fluorescence detection means chosen from the group comprising a microscope, flux cytometers, image analysers and laser scanning systems.
