The present invention relates to a method of joining a support device and a ski, and a ski and a support device which are adapted for implementing this method. This method is characterised in that, at the location of each of the respective two joining surfaces, a layer of heat-meltable material (2a, 4a) is provided, heating-up of the two layers of heat-meltable material (2a, 4a) in contact with one another is caused so as to raise them to a temperature greater than the melting point of the heat-meltable material of each layer in contact, while applying the ski (1) and the support device (2) against one another under pressure, and the molten material is then allowed to cool.
