Roadway driving machine for opening arcuated ways - has two rollers, one on each side of holding arm in floor region with tool carrier above arm being height adjustable and laterally swivelable
The machine has swivelable rollers (9,11) with cutting tools (23, 24), an undercarriage and a load conveyor. The two rollers are fitted on either side of a holding arm (10) on the floor region (7). They are axially displaceable. A tool carrier (22) above the holding arm is height-adjustable and laterally swivelable. The tool carrier is fitted with cutting tools, engaging the rock (21) in stages. Pref. the rotary drive of the rollers is integrated in them. Hydraulic rams are typically axially fitted between the rollers, clamped between the holding arm and the roller inner faces. USE/ADVANTAGE - For underground mining and tunnelling, with precise profile cutting and favourable tool loading.
