Method of dismantling of equipment contg. asbestos - involves draining off liquid surrounding appts. and dismantling appts. in same location into its individual components which are further treated with binder for residual fibre and stored by type, collected and disposed of
Equipment to be disposed of is lifted into an empty flooding/dismantling basin (3), which is then hermetically closed by a cover (5), prior to flooding with clean water via a line (12), and simultaneously the basin is evacuated by a vacuum pump and filter unit (15,16,K1). When saturated the water is pumped into a second basin (4).The water can be reused or discharged to drain after filtration through a filter (14). The equipment is then dismantled within the basin (3,4), and the individual components transferred to the final thorough-cleaning bath where they are washed with a solution contg. a binder material for immobilising any residual fibre. ADVANTAGE - Compact, cost-effective installation.
