Producing insulated pipe section consisting of pipe, annular insulating casing and outer sheath - consists of compressing insulating casing, moving it axially between pipe and sheathing, and decompressing it to expand intermediate space
The insulated casing (12) outer cross-section matches the sheathing (16) inner cross-section, and its inner cross-section matches the pipe (10) outer cross-section. The insulated casing is compressed by a template so that its outer cross-section is smaller than the sheathing inner cross-section and/or its inner cross-section is larger than the pipe outer cross-section. The compressed insulated casing is positioned between the pipe and/or sheathing as a result of axial displacement in relation to the pipe and sheathing. The compressed insulated casing is then decompressed so that it expands to fill the space between the pipe and sheathing. USE/ADVANTAGE - The insulated pipe is more easily assembled and more accurately produced by compressing the insulated casing which is afterwards allowed to resume its original size.
