Sewage treatment plant has a supply pipe (10) and a container (C1) in which are various devices connected by hoses or pipes. The supply pipe contains a screen (1) and a sand trap (2) followed by a first flotation device (F1) with an aeration device (3). Downstream of this flotation device the water passes through an oxygenation device (4), an aerobic bio-reactor (7), an anaerobic bio-reactor (8), and a second flotation device with an aeration device (5) to an outlet pipe (51). The aeration and oxygenation devices (3,4,5) are saturating devices into which the water is forced through a nozzle by a pump (23,40,50) and which are supplied with compressed air (L) or oxygen (O2). All of the components except the bio-reactors (7,8) and compressor (60) are located in the first container (C1), and the aerobic reactor is located as a central open-topped tank in a second container (C2) and is surrounded by the anaerobic reactor. From the base of the anaerobic reactor the water passes to the second flotation device (F2). At least one internal flow guide (7S), near the base of which additional oxygen is introduced, is provided in the aerobic reactor. An air distribution cone (7V) is provided below each flow guide. The first container is horizontal and the second vertical. USE/ADVANTAGE - In the treatment of sewage.
