FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: one of two blood samples was irradiated by helium-neon laser (wavelength: 0.6328 μm; dosage: 0.1 to 0.5 J/ml) to find percentage of T= and B= lymphocytes, T= active, T= suppressors and T= helpers and compare immunological parameters of radiated and nonradiated blood samples. When parameters changed towards correction of immune status disorders with shift of content and/or balance of immunocompetent cells over 10 % , as compared with nonradiated blood samples, researchers determined sensitivity of organism to intravascular laser radiation of blood (dose: 1 to 1.2 mJ/ml) with shift of content and/or balance of respective immunocompetent cells 1.5 to 3.0 times and patient was subjected to radiation of blood by helium-neon laser. High accuracy of prediction, possibility of determining degree of individual sensitivity to laser radiation and impossibility of misuse of laser for radiating blood re major advantages of disclosed method over prior art. EFFECT: higher accuracy of determining individual sensitivity of patients suffering from chronic purulent infection to intravascular radiation of blood by helium-neon laser. 4 tbl
