The processing procedure of the invention involves a first operation of pigment application or colour printing on the textile or on the cut article, a subsequent decolorization of the finished article with sodium hypochlorite or equivalent product, this stage optionally preceded by the removal of the indigo from the warp by the operation called "desizing", followed by rinsing with neutralizing and softening substances, in order to obtain special colour effects and a final effect of artificial ageing, the effect called "stone-washed".
