PURPOSE: To select a proposition of high necessity and to obtain a proper fuzzy model by calculating corresponding necessity on the basis of coupling loads or threshold values set between or to elements corresponding to respective propositions of a fuzzy rule consisting of plural propositions, and evaluating the respective propositions of the fuzzy rule. ;CONSTITUTION: A fuzzy model evaluating means 5 is provided with a converting means 4 which performs conversion between the coupling loads or threshold values of respective signal processing elements set in a learning means 1 and fuzzy model data and a fuzzy model storage part 3 which stores the fuzzy model data and necessity. Then a fuzzy model evaluation part 15 evaluates fuzzy models on the basis of the stored necessary. The fuzzy model evaluation part 15 is provided with an application range extraction part 15b and an importance extraction part 15c, and a selection part 15a selects a principal proposition on the basis of the extracted application range and importance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
