PURPOSE: To efficiently control the utilization of an information processing workstation with a password by storing the password in the workstation and catching the proposition of a password, and then, comparing the proposed password with the stored password at every initialization of the workstation. CONSTITUTION: A password is stored in an erasure-controlled stationary storage device. In order to release a workstation 1 from a blocked state when the password is lost, the workstation 1 is provided with the generation D1 of an information set 36 related to the blocked station 1, transmission of the information to partial qualified service S by a user, returning supply D2 of encoded block canceling information 43 by the service S, capture D4 of the information by the user on the station 1, erasure of an initial password introduced when a proposed password is in conformity with the stored password, and releasing of the station l from the blocked state.
