PURPOSE: To form a Shannon resolution function by coupling first and second quantum dot logic units, respectively, between the X and Y inputs of a Shannon cell and the first stage output such that a current flows through the first and second quantum dot logic devices, respectively, under first and second logic states. ;CONSTITUTION: Four Shannon cells 80, 82, 84 and 86 are constituted. Y output of the Shannon cell 80 is coupled with the input of the Shannon cell 82 and X output of the Shannon cell 80 is coupled with the X input of the Shannon cell 84. Y output of the Shannon cell 84 is coupled with the Y input of the Shannon cell 86 and X output of the Shannon cell 82 is coupled with the X input of the Shannon cell 86.
