PURPOSE: To detect and correct the control malfunctions due to the internal troubles of a mechanism by providing a small number of supression membership functions that acruired the features of the membership functions in addition to many conventional membership functions and then evaluating the outputs of both functions. ;CONSTITUTION: The conventional consequent part membership function is defined as a consequent part promotion membership function unit. Meanwhile a consequent part suppression membership function unit acquires the consequent part membership function. The outputs of both function units are evaluated by the checkers 1 and 2 for monitoring the control malfunctions caused by the troubles. If a malfunction is detected, this face is outputted to the outside and at the same time the malfunction is corrected by a defuzzy unit.
