PURPOSE: To make easy the work of attaching a building member, by a method wherein an engagement gasket for attaching building external facing material to the external wall of a building or a gasket attaching an aluminum frame member, is integrally formed with a beltlike silicone rubber compound. ;CONSTITUTION: A beltlike silicone rubber compound 3 with a plasticity number of 150 to 500 is held and stuck between surfaces to be joined on a building external facing material 4 such as glass or metal and on a gasket 2 attached to the surface of a support member 1 such as an aluminum frame member. This external facing material 4 and the support member 1 are integrally bonded by pressing through the beltlike silicone rubber compound 3 and are heated, and the beltlike silicone rubber compound is allowed to harden and thus they are allowed to adhere integrally each other. Therefore the external facing material and the support member can be integrally joined with the beltlike silicone rubber compound effectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
