PURPOSE: To obviate the use of a diaphragm, and ensure to enable a square steel tube column and a steel beam to be jointed to each other quickly and at low cost by inserting and tightening one-side joint through the column, a reinforcement plate and an end plate fastened to the end of the beam. ;CONSTITUTION: Reinforcement plates 2 are kept in contact with the rear side of a square steel tube column 1, and end plates 4 fixed to the end of each steel beam 3 are kept in contact with the surface of the column 1 at positions faced to the plates 2. Also, the column 1, reinforcement plates 2 and end plates 4 are provided beforehand with many through-holes for inserting a joint. Then, one-side joints 5 are inserted in the holes over the column 1, reinforcement plates 2 and end plates 4, and tightened for the connection thereof. According to this construction, the column 1 can be firmly jointed to the beam 3 without using a diaphragm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
