PURPOSE:To make an image such as a character on an original into a non- commutative field at high speed by comparatively simplified constitution, by shifting a start position to read out a picture signal stored in a buffer memory sequentially, and transferring it to a recording part. CONSTITUTION:When a condition to make a read image into the non- commutative field is inputted to an operating part 24, the picture signal is written on a line memory on one side of the buffer memory 21 from a read part 1, and a switch 27 is operated so as to read out the picture signal from the line memory on the other side. An address counter 22 generates an address so as to shift sequentially the write start position, and the read start position of the picture signal to the buffer memory 21, for example, at every reading of one line, and thereby, tbe image on the original is made into the noncommutative field, and is recorded. A CPU23 generates a page synchronizing signal, and supplies it to the address counter 22 with an operating condition, and a line synchronizing signal is outputted from the synchronizing signal generator 26 of the recording part 3 directly to the address counter 22.
