In a sliding clutch between the core (3) of a spool of an office machine or the like and a concentrically arranged driving gear (7), to which elastic catches of identical shape are attached which project radially outwards from the axis of rotation of said driving gear, are evenly distributed around the latter, can be radially deflected and, with their free ends, are in engagement with catch receivers distributed over the inside circumference of the spool core (3), the elastic catches are constructed in the form of spring tongues (15) extending in the axial direction, projecting radially obliquely outwards from the driving gear (7) into the interior of the spool surrounded by the spool core (3), and provided at their ends with in each case at least one catch tooth (16) directed radially outwards, the catch teeth (16) of which spring tongues are in engagement with a corresponding inside toothing (17) on the spool core (3). In this case, the spring tongues (15) are constructed integrally with the driving gear (7) or with a support disc attached concentrically to said driving gear.
