Handwriting input device with integral display surface and coordinate detector - has marker device enabling any position to be marked, memory for range definition and coordinate position values
An integral display input device (10) provides an input surface by integrating a display device (11) and coordinate detector (12). Any position can be marked on the input surface with a marker device (13). An input range defined by a processing function is stored (21) with range position data for entry of coordinate values corresp. to the input range. The stored range data are displayed (22) and coordinate values checked (20) for coincidence with the stored range. If the coordinates lie within the range the function is computed. A range offset device shifts the display control data and stored range position data. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple handwritten data entry is achieved for several users using coordinate data entry via a tablet, e.g. for sales applications.
