Determining distribution of electric current in living organ - using biological magnetometer and interpolating-extrapolating detection points for high resolution position measurement of current sources, active organ regions
Determining distribution of electric current in living organ - using biological magnetometer and interpolating-extrapolating detection points for high resolution position measurement of current sources, active organ regions
The method uses sensing coils (1C) at a number of detection points (1A) to detect magnetic field strength induced by currents in a living organ. Spatial interpolation or extrapolation of the detection points is used and equations applied which determine the relationship of an imaginary current applied to the magnetic field strengths at the real and interpolated points (1M). The field strengths at the interpolated/extrapolated points are estimated from the measured values at the detection points and the imaginary currents computed using the field strengths at the detection points and the interpolated/extrapolated points to estimate the electric current. USE/ADVANTAGE - For estimating position of active region of living organ. Achieves good current source position resolution and representation of movement of object in real time.
