Socket adaptor for flush-mounted and protected wall socket outlet - enables four standard flat plugs to draw power from socket via frame surrounding earth contact receptacle
The adaptor (10) is shaped like a frame (16) with a square opening (18) slightly smaller than the front plate of the plug receptacle (14) which is screwed into the recess (12) in the wall. On each side of the frame a pair of bushings (22) open outwards pref. into recesses (24) for flat plugs. The bushings are interconnected by power supply leads. The receptacle contains a central circular space (32) with holes (34) for plug pins and an earthing contact (36). USE/ADVANTAGE - A simple additional part does not impair the prim. function of the socket but allows insertion of flat or Europa plugs in a space-saving manner.
