LV DC positioning drive, e.g. for window pairs - incorporates gearing to rack=and=pinion transmission arranged with components of mains-powered supply circuit in compact housing
The housing (11) of the drive encloses a l.v. d.c. motor and gearing (12) driving a square-section rod (13) coupled to a bushing (33') within a bellows (36) whose end (35) is fitted into a groove (34) to protect the drive from rain water and spray. The power supply (14) incorporates a mains transformer (15) and rectifier (16) suited to the power requirements of the motor. The gearbox (17) is screwed to both halves of a guide (21) for the rod, above which the motor (19) is disposed at right angles and parallel to the axis of the pinion (20). ADVANTAGE - Compact and inexpensive drive can be powered by mains network of building without any special supply circuitry.
