Transloading containers etc. between road and rail vehicles - first lifts container before sliding in transfer rails and extending displacement elements below container
The transfer rails are placed between the two vehicles underneath the raised container. The displacement elements can comprise rollers which allow the container to run from one vehicle to the other on the rails. After handling, the rails are removed and the container lowered. The rollers are driven by an outer or inner drive and either the rollers or their drive can have a brake. The displacement elements could be mechanically , hydraulically or pneumatically operated traction cylinders associated with track rails attached on the underneath of the container. Transfer can be between loading stations other than vehicles. USE/ADVANTAGE - For mechanised transloading,with simple transfer and no need for a transfer bridge.
