The beaming reflector antenna has a switchable response pattern and an exciter (4) mounted at the focus (1) of the reflector (2). The exciter is also provided with a search reflector (3) which is smaller in diameter than the main reflector and fitted with a swivelling mechanism (5) so that it can be swivelled between a search position in which it is arranged between the exciter and the main reflector and an observing position (3') in which it only obscures the main reflector to a small degree. USE/ADVANTAGE - Can be varied to give any ratio of response width. Suitable for directional antennas.
