The structured process involves determining the technological and/or economic final values required for solving a particular problem based upon an initial statement. The problem is described initially in terms of a general specification having a series of statements having one or more information modules, in the form of a specialised descriptive language. For example, the process may be applied to the required solution for a building construction in which materials, costs and technical performance are to be balanced. Text modules can be defined for each of the factors involved. USE/ADVANTAGE - for building work. Provides structured, flexible method of determining costing.
