Silo cutter and transporter towed by tractor - comprises skip for collecting and carrying cut silage, which has spring loaded bottom with hoist arms to push silage onto conveyor with discharge openings
The cutting drum (11) revolves on an axle (12) mounted across the free ends of swinging hoists (4). Below the arms (4) and in front of the drum is a skip (5) with a spring loaded hinged bottom plate (6a) to which a pair of hoist arms (21) are attached. These arms are coupled (25) to the drum hoist arms (4). When the drum is raised the bottom plate (6a) swings upwards to push the silage on to a conveyor (19) with side discharge openings (7a). ADVANTAGE - Silage is distributed along the cattle stands in measured quantities as the skip passes along.
