The cutting machine is for chicory roots with cup conveyors for manual insertion and rotating blades or saw blades for cutting off the roots. The cups are conical half shells with a stop for the head end of the roots to be inserted so that they are inclined towards the stop. The cups at the discharge point of the conveyor turn the roots so that their point is facing downwards for filling the drive box of a vertically and horizontally adjustable active or passive conveyor unit. USE/ADVANTAGE - For harvesting chicory roots and conveying them for packaging.
