On the harbour bed a layer of abutting concrete plates are laid which have a series of holes within them to accommodate the fixing of a bar. To this bar is attached a plate (2) to which a series of spikes (4) have been welded. Onto these spikes are placed rubber-like spikes (5). Attached to the underside of the metal plate is a stake shaped tube (3) and the plate is on a concrete plate (1). In the concrete plate are openings (7) is formed to force the tube through. USE/ADVANTAGE - For harbours and marine installations eg. a silting basin, against erosion. Reduces harbour floor scouring.
