Premature babies breathing apparatus - comprising conical container connected to tracheal tube on one side and to air exchanger on other side, with interior heat and moisture exchanger
The apparatus consists of a conical container (1) which is integrally formed with a flange (2). A conical connector (3) on the side of the flange opposite to the container is connected to a tracheal tube (9). The conical container (1) is connected to a Y-piece (12) with one branch of the Y-piece being connected to the supply pipe (13) for fresh dry air. The other branch of the U-piece is connected to a pipe (14) for the discharge of air breathed out by the patient. The interior of the conical container is filled with a heat and moisture exchange medium. A radial hole in the flange forms a connection for measuring and monitoring the system by the control device (11). USE/ADVANTAGE - Breathing apparatus for premature babies which minimises carbon-dioxide retention.
