The HV transformer has several diodes, i.e. four (3a-3d) distributed over the periphery of a bridge (2) of the coil body (1) wihtout counterposed displacement in an axial direction. Such diodes are located on the outer edge of the bridge or in an all-round groove on the bridge outer edge. They are retained on the bridge with their connecting wires via an arrestor. The bridge (2) or a chamber wall has a recess of a ramp type running from the outer edge tangentially to the base of the chamber, and through which the winding wire from a diode connection or a support point on the chamber edge to the chamber base is guided. The winding wires from a diode connection or a support point to the base of a chamber in the axial direction of the coil body (1) run via several chambers.
