Short stroke pushbutton panel switch e.g. for operating electric train or bus door traffic lights, lift - has smooth foil type pushbutton that moves against flexible element to cause bridge contact to complete circuit
The switch has a foil (15) that is displaced to cause a bridging element (17) to engage the contacts (10). The foil outer section sandwiches a coupling element (14) of elastic material against a fixing housing (7). The central contact carrier (16) supports the bridging contact element and is set into the housing (7) together with the contact pins. The complete assembly is retained wth a panel opening by a ring shaped plate (5) secured by screws. ADVANTAGE - Providing robust, reliable switch actuation, capable of operation in wide temp. range (-30 deg.C to +80 deg.C).
