The vehicle is fitted with sensors for steering setting and vehicle speed, among other parameters. The transverse acceleration is computed from an improved formula incorporating the square of the speed and correcting for wheel drift, road grip etc. The control signals are diffrentiated to compute the changing dynamic state of the vehicle, e.g. changes in steering during cornering and cahnges in speed. The transverse acceleration factor is used for computing the changes required in the reaction forces of the suspension units. ADVANTAGE - No inertial sensors required, improved road handling.
