The base (1) has a weakened lined along its length. The endface walls (3) have separation perforations (9), joining the weakened line, and extending to the outer edge of the endface walls. The pockets (13) have at least one guide cut-out in which the package piece (12) can be inserted. The packaged pieces are supported at the inner side wall (15) of the opposite pockets (13). The packaged piece can be removed by separation of the endface wall side tear-off perforations and bending or separating along the weakened line. Guide cut-outs (6) and central bores (7) are arranged alternately at the edge side pockets (13) forming the longitudinal walls (2) so that the cut-outs match the outside dia. of packed (12). The central bores are aligned for the reception of the protruding positive pole terminals of packed batteries. A central bore (7) is assigned to respective guide cut-outs, free of packing at the opposite pockets. Perforations (17), provided at the pockets for marking used batteries, are punched by means of the protruding pole terminals of the batteries. USE/ADVANTAGE - Shock proof carton packing esp. for bar-shaped batteries. Inspection window at one side. Allows easy removal of packed units.
