Mine clearance collector for loose sandy soil beaches and desert - involves grid extending out of sand with left and right lateral guide parts guiding mines into transport basket
The mine transport basket comprises a floor and three side walls (10) of strong round iron, which have adequate intermediate space to allow sand to fall through. The basket is open at the top, and provided with transport rings (6). The clearance collector stands on runners (4) which prevent deeper penetration into the sandy soil during the clearance operation. By virtue of a very storng frame (11), the clearance collector has extraordinary stability. It can be emptied, in that the floor with the rings (8) can be drawn backwards. It provides a clearance width of 3.5 m., with the runners, which are 3 m apart, only in contact with cleared soil. The floor freedom of the transport backet of 0.5 m guarantees that sand getting into the basket with the mines can be cleared without a problem. USE/ADVANTAGE - To obviate the involvement of personnel in the handling of mines during clearance operations is sandy locations.
