PURPOSE: To provide a new gene useful for producing the subject sulfatase. ;CONSTITUTION: The objective gene derived from bacteria belonging to Pseudomonas testosteronii and having a restriction enzyme map shown in the figure; e.g. 2.36kb DNA fragment containing a bile acid sulfuric acid sulfatase gene domain (1509bp) derived from Pseudomonas testosteronii ATCC 11996 strain. For example, Pseudomonas testosteronii ATCC 11996 is aerobically cultured in e.g. a LB medium at ca.24-34°C for ca.12-24hr, and microbial cells are collected from the resulting cultured product and put to e.g. phenol technique to obtain a chromosome DNA.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
