PURPOSE: To precisely describe environments and to express knowledge depending on the environments by providing an environment description part on the method of a knowledge object and further providing a means to operate and manage environmental conditions. ;CONSTITUTION: A knowledge data base 101 stores the knowledge object and in the method of the knowledge object, the environment description part is constituted to describe the environments in which the method is validated. Namely, when the reference instruction of the method is applied from the outside to a knowledge object method managing means 111, while using an environment evaluating means 106, it is investigated through a knowledge data validity judging means 110 whether the environmental conditions are satisfied or not. Namely, the environment evaluating means 106 evaluates whether the conditions of the environment description part referred to by an environment operating means 105 are satisfied or not. While receiving the evaluated result, the knowledge data validity judging means 110 judges the validity of the knowledge data.
