PURPOSE: To protect tissues around an incised hole against heat by controlling the supply of electric current so as to precisely produce heat required for cutting the skin membrane of the crystalline lens so as to coagulate the boundary part of the hole and further prevent the current from being excessively supplied. ;CONSTITUTION: A power supply device comprises a pulse width controller 31, and a high frequency oscillator 30, and the high frequency current is synchronized by the controller 31 and pulses from an AND gate 35. An amplifier 40 supplies power to a hand piece 21 of a diathermy machine through a transformer 46. Required operations can be ensured without grounding. Predetermined widths can be changed in a range from 3 to 11ms, and accordingly, a pose is set in a range of 30 to 22ms. This pose time is sufficient for cooling the tip end of an equipment through a stream of sodium chloride in order to prevent adjacent tissues. The repetitive frequency of the pulses are set to be about 15Hz.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
