PURPOSE: To make it possible to easily arrange data and process them even after the arrangement by mapping the record of a data structure model, which is generated by using an entity type data model, to a location and storing it. ;CONSTITUTION: A work station 31 accesses a data base memory 32 through a bidirectional communication link 33. To arrange data in the data base memory 32, the work station 31 accesses a pointer table stored in a table memory 34 equipped with a means for mapping an entity type to an address in this memory 32. A common storage area 35 while storing a data model generated during software development stores even the output of another CASE(computer-aided software engineering) tool. A display device 36 is used to both generate the data model on an interaction basis during the software development and execute a data base application program interactively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
