PURPOSE: To provide a reactor with fully self-cleaning large free usable volume by placing toothed discs with scrapers vertical against the rotation shaft in planes which are echeloned one behind the other such that they mesh with one another to mutually clean toothed discs. CONSTITUTION: This disc reactor is constituted of two or more parallel counterrotating shafts, on which toothed discs 3, 3' with scrapers 4, 4', which are distributed over their circumference, are disposed, and a surrounding housing 1. The toothed discs are arranged perpendicularly to the axes of rotation in planes which are echeloned one behind the other such that they mesh with one another. For instance, the scraper 12' of one toothed disc 11' transports the object outward and the scraper 12 of the other toothed disc 11 inward. The toothed discs 11, 11' clean each other at the circumferential area and clean the housing within a prescribed range. Thus a reactor with fully self-cleaning large free usable volume can be obtained.
