PURPOSE:To measure exactly Na+, K+, Cl- ions by determining the concn. of two kinds of internal standard liquids with two kinds of external calibrating liquids, measuring the concn. of a sample on the basis of said internal standard liquids and correcting the output drift and sensitivity of an electrode. CONSTITUTION:The concn. of the internal standard liquid R1 is measured by two kinds of external calibrating liquids CA, CB. Said concn. is measured after certain time and the output drift of the electrode is determined and is stored in a memory. The concn. and output drift of the internal standard liquid R2 are similarly determined. The outputs of the liquids R1 and R2 are measured and the output drift and sensitivity are determined. The outputs from a sample for Na+, K+, Cl- ions, etc. and the liquid R1 are measured and the concn. of the sample is determined by calculation from the measured value thereof. The output drift of the liquid R1 is corrected by the electrode sensitivity. The output drift and electrode sensitivity of the liquids R1 and R2 are periodically determined and the measured concn. value of the sample is corrected in the above-mentioned way and therefore the concn. of the sample is exactly measured.
