Data transfer arrangement between measurement acquisition and processing units - has auxiliary unit mechanically joined to acquisition unit and coupled to it which passes data to processing unit
The arrangement for transferring data between a measurement data acquisition unit (1) and a data processing unit (3) has a portable measurement device as the acquisition unit. The portable measurement device is pref. a hand-held multimeter or tester whose measurement data are transferred via contactless coupling elements to an auxiliary unit (2) which passes the data to the processing unit. The auxiliary unit has a connecting part (4) with a detachable mechanical connection to the acquisition unit and contactless coupling elements corresp. to and at a defined distance from those of the acqusition unit. The combined unit can be used as a portable device. USE/ADVANTAGE - Enables rapid, problem-free adaptation of measurement value acquisition unit to measurement value processing unit for data transfer, using e.g. inductive, capacitive or optoelectrical coupling without computer interface.
