Combining recursive and non-recursive digital filters for compensation of electroacoustic transducers - shifting resonant frequency by recursive filter and using combined effect to improve linear characteristic in LF range
Combining recursive and non-recursive digital filters for compensation of electroacoustic transducers - shifting resonant frequency by recursive filter and using combined effect to improve linear characteristic in LF range
A compensating process is used to improve the frequency response characteristic of such items as microphones and loudspeakers, namely, by the use of a combination of digital recursive and nonrecursive filterings. The rearsive filter is of a second order form with complex pole pairs that effect a shift in the resonance frequency to a point outside of the system bandwidth. The combined effect results in an improvement in the linear characteristic within the l.f. range resulting in an improved response. ADVANTAGE - Improved compensation for linear characteristic of loudspeakers and microphone.
